Born and raised in New York City, she fell in love with Philadelphia and moved back after college.

603141_4172765761969_1776222689_nMeenal Raval – Spokesperson – Meenal owns Philly Electric Wheels, offering the best selection in folding and electric bikes in the region.  She’s also active with Philly Neighborhood Networks, catalyst at the newly formed Northwest Philly Solar Co-op and active with Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light. 561881_10151618619460179_1084836708_nMitch Chanin – Strategist – A Philly native, Mitch has been involved with social justice organizing and activism for 20 years. He co-founded and directed a non-profit organization that helped Jewish people across North America to talk across political differences about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, before stepping down in order to devote more time to the movement for climate justice. He lives in Northeast Philly and works in the medical billing field. In 2015, he received an “Emerging Leader” award from the Bread and Roses Community Fund for his environmental justice work. 14993398_10208054632106729_32131587477234044_nMatthew Wang – Director of Union Outreach – Matthew is a Carpenter and proud member of Transportation Workers Union Local 234.  He began working for SEPTA in 2011 and in 2013 joined the Building’s & Bridge’s Location Safety Committee where he currently serves as Recording Secretary.  In addition to working as a Carpenter on SEPTA’s Facility Improvement Team, Matthew has documented safety and health concerns such as lead, asbestos, chemical off-gassing, and diesel exhaust. In 2013 he enrolled at Drexel University to study Architecture and quickly became involved with the Sustainable Built Environment minor.  After learning of the climate group, Matthew co-founded a student organization, Fossil Free Drexel, which seeks to hold the university accountable to future generations with the divesting from fossil fuel investments and reinvesting in renewable energy. This local campaign is part of a global movement to mitigate the worst effects of climate change.

Zak is a teacher in Philly, has volunteered with 350 Philly since Spring 2016, and was instrumental in looping nearby schools into our campaign.
