Vanguard Investment Group, headquartered in Malvern, is one of the largest asset managers in the world, and also one of the biggest investors in fossil fuels. Join Earth Quaker Action Team (EQAT) and members of ally groups on this five-day walk highlighting fossil-fuel hot spots, with specific events along the route from the Delaware River to Vanguard headquarters in Malvern. In June, plan to be at the Pennsylvania Climate Convergence, June 11-13, in Harrisburg. This multi-day event will bring over two dozen groups from all over the state to call for Pennsylvania to become part of the solution to the climate crisis. We need to lift up our voices to counter our state government’s resistance to change, which includes climate-change denial, subsidizing fossil fuel production while ignoring its danger to communities, and prioritizing fossil-fuel jobs while ignoring new energy jobs.
Friday: Arts festival with talks and tabling
Saturday: Interfaith Service, march, and actions
Sunday: Day of action, including a supported opportunity to participate in an action while risking arrest.
